Max Middleton - Paintings of Europe In the early 1950's and again in 1975, Max traveled and painted in Europe. These travels both proved to be turning points in Max's career. Inspired by the painting techniques of the European Masters, Max returned from his travels with a "fresh eye", and noticed significant refinement of his own painting techniques after each trip.
